AfterGlo
After being exposed to the club scene in 1997, AfterGlo knew it was his dream to be the one in the DJ booth rocking the crowd. With an obsessively extensive music library and the willingness to seek out and discover what it takes to make you move, AfterGlo has made his rise into Edmonton nightlife.
In April 2007, AfterGlo stepped out of the bedroom and made his debut at the the GrooveCo debut event “Groove”, and was shortly thereafter asked to return for “Odyssey” and “OcTOGAfest”. He’s also had the opportunity since then to play along side the GOMP crew at Battle to the Death (Bassment) as well as at Twilight, Level 2 Lounge, Twist Ultra Lounge, and Encore.
Constantly striving to get more exposure, AfterGlo and his female DJ counterpart began “Jaded Raver Saturdays” in late 2007 as a way to get Edmonton’s upcoming DJs some live play time. He also co-organized N-E-Mo Beats, held at the Avenue Skatepark in Edmonton, Down the Rabbit Hole (2007), and Beach Bash ‘09.
From every angle, AfterGlo fully emerses himself in club culture, from organizing, setting up, making you dance, and ripping it all down afterwards. He’s so proud to be a new member of the Beat Matched crew, and looks forward to assisting the evolution of Edmonton’s nightlife.

Altair
Altair is relatively new to the DJing world and, until recently, could barely say that he had his own equipment: Two ancient Stanton STR8-80 turntables that had been handed down more than once, complemented by a 2-channel Behringer mixer that had seen better days.
However, in early April of 2009, Altair began to reap the rewards of a B Sc in Computing Science, and purchased himself two Pioneer CDJ 400s and an Allen & Heath Xone:42 mixer. Needless to say, this was a substantial improvement over his previous gear.
No longer reliant on external equipment, Altair is now able to expand and refine his DJ skills on a more regular basis. As a result, mixes by Altair are now released far more frequently.
Previous to acquiring his new gear, Altair spun primarily using traditional, good old-fashioned vinyl, and his modest record collection grew slowly, limited by a lack of funds. With his new CDJs, which also function as MIDI controllers, Altair has begun the transition into the digital DJing world, and only occasionally returns to vinyl while visiting friends.
Equipment Used:
- 2 Pioneer CDJ 400s
- 1 Allen & Heath Xone:42 Professional DJ Mixer
- Sennheiser HD-25 Professional DJ Headphones
Altair has been a Beatmatched DJ since March 14, 2009
Andy Eff
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Andy has been very involved with music and performing from a very early age. First learning the piano, he would play concerts and small demo shows in malls and hotels. As he grew older his taste for music would change, naturally. After exhausting the piano he then moved to the electric guitar. Being heavely influenced by bands such as Nirvana, Metallica, Pantera, etc… he naturally started to pick up other instruments along the way. Drumming then became his newest passion. Several years later Andy became more and more aware of electronic music and the scene it brings with it.
Andy Facsko has been making an impact in the electronic music scene since 2007. After being locked in his basement for a year, hell-bent on focusing on the art of mixing, Andy emerged confident in his newly developed skills. After his first show, Andy was picked up by Boodang Music Canada. He resides at Twilight Afterhours, every friday, along fellow Beatmatched / Boodang DJ “Mazik”. He was given the oppertunity too play many massives such as Frequency, Wonderland, Frost, Metropolis, Scream… aswell as numerous opening acts for DJs such as Adam K, Jelo, Hatiras, Scot Project, Anne Savage, Wippenburg… and the list goes on…Andy Eff is about House music of all kinds. His bread and butter being Electro House, but dont be surprised to hear bass flithy breaks, and grimey UK house smashed into his mixes. Lately his sound has been maturing so techy, and tribal beats aswell.
Now, Being allied with BEATMATCHED, you will be able to catch performances as often as weekends come.
Andy Eff has been a Beatmatched DJ since May 09, 2010
