DJ Komrad is no stranger to slaying a dancefloor. He has been DJing for about 3 years now. Thanks to his previous musical experience he was able to learn the art of spinning records fairly quickly. Almost instantly he fell in love with the art originally buying a pair of Stanton C.314 CD decks, and a Stanton M.202 mixer, and then eventually upgrading to a pair of Pioneer CDJ1000mk3s, and a Pioneer DJM400.

Being a veteren of Edmonton’s death metal scene it was no wonder that he first delved into the darker side of electronic music such as Hardstyle, and Hard Trance. Komrad’s sets are often intensely energetic, and can range from being epic and uplifting, and then before you know it you’re in dark and moody territory. Komrad spins Electro, House, Top40s remixes/electro mashups, Tech House, Hard Trance, Hard House, and Hardstyle

Komrad, holds residencies at Level 2 Lounge on statutory holidays. Monthly Saturdays at Detox Ultralounge, and monthly Fridays at Twist Ultralounge, Komrad will also be featured on 2 stages for Motion Notion 2010

Komrad likes to use Pioneer DJ gear, Jackson guitars, Marshall Amps, and Digi Tech foot pedals.
